NYCEDC Greater Greenways

Led by NYCEDC in partnership with NYC DOT and NYC Parks, the Long Term Citywide Greenway Expansion Plan (also known as Greater Greenways) will identify opportunities to expand and improve the city’s greenway network across all five boroughs. The plan focuses on closing network gaps, improving access in underserved areas, and supporting active transportation, climate resilience, and public health.

Johnson & Asberry is leading the stakeholder engagement strategy for the project. We are coordinating public outreach, facilitating meetings and workshops, and using a citywide survey to gather input directly from New Yorkers. Our goal is to ensure that a broad range of perspectives from cyclists and pedestrians to delivery workers and local organizations are reflected in the planning process.
