The Todt Hill Comprehensive Modernization project is a first-of-its-kind initiative by NYCHA, in partnership with the Community Modernization Group (CMG), to fully renovate seven residential buildings in Staten Island, impacting over 500 apartments and improving living conditions for approximately 1,000 residents. With a $150 million investment, the project includes gut renovations of kitchens and bathrooms, new windows and elevators, upgrades to heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, improved pest and waste management, and critical abatement work. Given the scale of construction, residents will temporarily relocate for approximately eight months while their homes are transformed.

Johnson & Asberry is proud to lead all community engagement and relocation efforts for this landmark project. Our team is embedded in every step of the process, ensuring residents are informed, supported, and empowered throughout their relocation and eventual return. We organize public meetings, coordinate one-on-one relocation support, develop multilingual outreach materials, and manage ongoing communication between residents, contractors, and NYCHA. As the primary point of contact for the community, J&A ensures that every voice is heard and that Todt Hill families feel welcomed, respected, and prioritized during this historic investment in public housing.
